Medical Massage is result oriented and  the treatment is specifically directed to resolve painful problem areas or a diagnosed condition. The following modalities or procedures may be used during the treatment.

ETPS

ETPS Therapy is a new FDA approved therapy that combines the principles of acupuncture and neurology with micro current stimulation.  Around the world, ETPS is successfully helping many pain patients control their pain levels and resume normal functioning in their lives again!

Deep Tissue

The surface muscles must be relaxed in order to effectively penetrate the deeper layer of muscles. This process is accomplished gradually to lessen the tenderness. Deep tissue helps with chronic muscular pain and injury rehabilitation while reducing inflammation-related pain caused by arthritis and tendinitis.

Soft-tissue Release

Soft-tissue release (STR) is a powerful injury treatment technique, which is very effective for chronic low back pain, whiplash injuries and range of motion issues. STR deals directly with referred pain and nerve entrapment by breaking up scar tissue and adhesion's. Pressure is applied directly into the affected tissue or along a line of injury so that the muscle begins to stretch in a specific direction. Decreased pain and increased range of motion are often immediate.

Acupressure

Acupressure is an ancient healing art that uses the fingers to press key points on the surface of the skin to stimulate the body's natural self-curative abilities. When these points are pressed they release muscular tension and promote the circulation of blood and the body's life force (sometimes known as qi or chi)to aid healing.

Acupressure can be effective in helping relieve headaches, eye strain, sinus problems, neck pain, backaches, arthritis, muscle aches, tension due to stress, ulcer pain, menstrual cramps, lower backaches, constipation, and indigestion.

The healing touch of acupressure reduces tension, increases circulation, and enables the body to relax deeply. Along with relieving stress, acupressure strengthens resistance to disease and promotes wellness.
.
Acupressure focuses on relieving pain and discomfort, as well as responding to tension, before it develops into a disease.

Myofascial Release

An assessment is made by visually analyzing the human frame. Areas of fascial tension are treated by applying gentle pressure in the direction of the restriction. Myofascial release is an effective therapeutic approach in the relief of cervical pain, back pain, fibromyalgia, scoliosis, neurological dysfunction, restriction of motion, chronic pain and headaches.

Trigger Point

Trigger point therapy is the application of pressure on knots and areas where toxins have built up resulting in muscle pain and dysfunction.

Reflexology

Based on an ancient Chinese therapy, reflexology involves manipulation of specific reflex areas in the foot, hands, and ears that correspond to other parts of the body. Sometimes referred to as zone therapy, this bodywork involves application of pressure to these reflex zones to stimulate body organs and relieve areas of congestion. Similar to acupressure principles, reflexology works with the body's energy flow to stimulate self-healing and maintain balance in physical function.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage reduces recovery time from sore, overused muscles enabling an athlete to resume training much sooner than rest alone would allow. When an athlete sustains an injury, skillful massage therapy can often speed and improve the quality of healing.

Relaxation Massage

Medical Massage

Take some time off for you and leave the stress of the world behind.

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, reducing swelling from injuries, improving circulation and flexibility while easing minor muscle pain and tension. The primary goal is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes, firm kneading, rolling, percussion-like tapping, bending and stretching. Communication is encouraged so that your massage is customized to your specific needs.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage therapy melts away tension, eases muscle stiffness and increases circulation and metabolism. The heat from the stones promotes deeper muscle relaxation.

Pregnancy Massage

Massage therapy performed during pregnancy can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains, leg cramps, headaches  edema (or swelling), promote better sleep, as well as improve labor outcomes and newborn health. The mothers-to-be are positioned on their side and made comfortable with the support of pillows. Depending on where you are in your pregnancy, your therapist may utilize such massage techniques as reflexology, Swedish massage or certain techniques that address your specific requests and needs.  Massage during the first trimester is contraindicated and should be avoided.

Cranial Sacral

Cranial Sacral Therapy is a gentle method of detection and correction that encourages your own natural healing mechanisms to dissipate negative effects of stress on your central nervous system. You may also benefit from better overall health and resistance to disease. This therapy strengthens your body's ability to take better care of yourself. It helps alleviate a range of illnesses, pain and dysfunctions, such as; migraine/headaches, allergies, depression, chronic neck and back pain, anxiety, stress, chronic fatigue and sleeping disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder. This occurs as your body is put into what is referred to as a "still point", where-in your own body makes the necessary adjustments whether mental, physical or emotional.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils from plants for healing. Essential oils are concentrated extracts taken from the roots, leaves, seeds, or blossoms of plants. Each contains its own mix of active ingredients, and this mix determines what the oil is used for. Some oils are used to promote physical healing -- for example, to treat swelling or fungal infections. Others are used for their emotional value -- they may enhance relaxation or make a room smell pleasant.

Reiki

Reiki treatment is becoming more common in the West.  The word Reiki stems from a Japanese word that means “Universal Life Energy”. Reiki is widely recognized as a route for energy to heal you and is a safe remedy for all.  It encourages perfect health and happiness and can be practiced by individuals of all ages during times of wellness or times of sickness and works by restoring an individuals life force energy and increasing the immunity within the body.

Emotional Release

This clearing technique involves a process of opening up a channel of communication with the subconscious mind to identify and resolve the original perception of the emotional pain. Emotional trauma is not solely caused by horrific events, but can be the result of continued repeats of emotionally disturbing experiences. Once the pain is fully understood, it can be released.

Thai Massage

The basic goal of Thai massage therapy is to help the body heal itself and to increase health and well-being. Massage is not a cure for any serious conditions but it can be extremely beneficial in providing welcome relief from the symptoms of many ailments.
